Language skills of international nurses; specialist terminology

International nurses bring valuable qualifications and experience, but they often face the obstacle of fully mastering patient language and specialist terminology.
In theory, they have a B2 language certificate, but in practice, they can't articulate a single correct sentence. Does this sound familiar?

The lack of sufficient language skills is not only a problem for the international nurses themselves, but also places an additional burden on the already overwhelmed nursing staff.

Any communication barrier can jeopardize patient safety and increase the workload of the nursing staff.
The new part-time online specialist language course "German for Nurses, CEFR Level B2" begins on December 4th.
The course focuses on speaking and listening comprehension.
